Join us for an exciting weekend of aviation, camaraderie, and fun at the Midlife Pilot Podcast Fly-In Event! Come hang with hosts Ben, Brian, and Ted, who will be flying in their aircraft to join you for this special weekend. We want to meet all of you, do some fun flying, but really - the hangs are always the best part of these events.

Event Details

• Dates: Friday, May 2 - Sunday, May 4, 2025

• Location: Gillespie County Airport (T82), Fredericksburg, Texas

• FBO: Fredericksburg FBO

• HOTEL: Hangar Hotel, fully booked with a waiting list. All bookings can be cancelled for full refund with 48 hours notice- even less notice possible if weather is an issue - check with hotel staff.

Schedule
Friday, May 2

• BRING TIEDOWNS: there are hooks on the ramp but no ropes.

• PLANE ARRIVALS: Look for the Welcome Table in front of the hotel from 10am until evening. Register and get your packet.

• COMMERCIAL ARRIVALS: If you’d like to share a ride, there are Midlifers arriving in both Austin and San Antonio. Join the Discord threads to discuss it.

• GROUND TRANSPORT: The FBO has 8 nice cars for rent, some have been reserved already. There’s an Enterprise near the airport.

• RAMP PARKING: Our planes need to be off the main ramp during the day Saturday, so after unloading your plane, move it to the North ramp area. (see map on back)
  

• Breakfast: if anyone arrives early, you can go to the diner (open 8am-2pm). Expect restaurants, especially the diner, to have limited seating.

• Lunch: on your own.

• Dinner: go to town! Choose your own adventure.
  

Saturday, May 3

• RAMP PARKING REMINDER: 10am-3pm - Airport Open House, static displays, and Traveling Vietnam War Memorial will be on the main ramp.

• Breakfast: go to town! Choose your own adventure, but the hosts will probably be at Sunset Grill (open 8am-2pm). Other options include Old German Bakery, Fredericksburg Brunch Co, Nury’s, Hill & Vine, The Pharmacy, Woerner Warehouse.

• FLIGHT PLANNING: 10:00-10:45am - share and brief your flight plan, have safety discussions in front of the hotel. Go fly or stay and talk!

• PODCAST: 4pm - Live podcast! Join us at the TAC Aero hangar.

• Dinner: 7pm - Fredericksburg Brewing Company.

Sunday, May 4

• Departures and donuts: Hang out on the ramp!
